Perhaps it is because I still remember the first quarter of that playoff game earlier this year when the supposedly lowly-Browns were pummeling us 28-0.
Perhaps it is because we have lost our entire offensive line from lsat year, with two perennial Pro-Bowl players.
Perhaps it is because we could not keep an outside LB who appeared to be on the cusp of reaching his number 1 draft potential — after five years.
Perhaps it is because the Browns and Ravens look like the teams to beat in the AFC-North this year and most prognosticators are picking them to finish third.
Perhaps it is because Mike Tomlin is fabulous in the regular-season but woeful in the playoffs.
Perhaps it is because we have not reached a Super Bowl in the past 12 years.
Perhaps it is because of all of those reasons and many more.
Nevertheless, when the Steelers’ 39-year-old QB whom more than 60 percent of Steeler fans wanted to retire after last season says this, I am not convinced,
“Everybody in the NFL has the same goal, and that’s to win a Super Bowl,” veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. “It doesn’t matter if you come from another team, if you’ve been here for a long time, or if you’re a rookie. Everyone wants the same thing. It’s a matter of getting on the same page at the right time.”
